A lot of work goes into building quotes...
So, when you’re not winning as many jobs as you want to be, this can be incredibly frustrating!!
Which is why I want to share with you a well-kept secret that every 'elite contractor' doesn't want you to know...
That is, there is a HUGE difference between a standard ‘quote’, and a ‘professional proposal’.
Let me explain...
A common quote is typically a bland and generic document with very little elaboration about the job other than an itemised breakdown of what materials and labour are involved, and how much it will all cost.
A proposal on the other hand, is a well constructed document that better communicates VALUE over COST, and that you are LESS RISK than other contractors through better differentiation.
It’s branded, professional, has a detailed scope of work on what’s included, helping to better justify the price, a project brief, clear terms/conditions, warranties, guarantees, reviews, and call to actions... just to give you an idea of what's included.
Which mind you, goes a long way in the eyes of the prospective buyer!
So, in a world where contractors don’t even pick up the phone, let alone get back to people with quotes in a timely manner (or at all!!)...
Going the extra mile in your sales process with a professional proposal showcasing that you understand the job, what the prospect is looking to achieve, and that you actually CARE… will skyrocket your conversion rates.
So, my advice?
Take an honest look at your current quotes that you're sending out and assess whether or not you're going to the level of detail you should be to better communicate value to your prospective clients on the front end - and that you're less risk than your competition.
